On our first day of Dialogue School I was a little concerned about what
it would be like. I didn't know if I would like spending five days on an
island with just other Russian students and the other five Americans. I
wasn't sure how the other Russian kids would feel about us being there or
how we would be treated, but everything turned out to be awesome. I
never once felt out of place and all of the Russians were very nice. In
addition, we all made a lot of new friends that we were able to meet
with, even after Dialogue School was over. Although the educational
parts of Dialogue School were in Russian, we all were able to participate
to some degree and I think that everyone learned something and had a lot
of fun. Almost every day we would go swimming and play games. I enjoyed
playing European "football" as well as volleyball and many other games.
In the end, however, the highlight of Dialogue School was definatly
meeting Russian kids our own age and making a lot of new friends.
