Our second clean-up workday was near Lenin monument. But the first we went to the lock.
The water grew up and two small ships became higher from river to 20 meters. While guide was telling us about this
structure, some students were watching at the lock gates. When two big ships came to the lock, the water went down in
an interesting way. The gates were opened and ships went away. All students reached the left bank, but all
parents stayed on the other side.
Soon on foot we came to the Lenin monument. We had a lot of helpers. The work wasnt so hard as previous time, the
place wasnt too dirty. The territory became clean quickly. We had a dinner with very good food parents prepared for us.
Some children made a tattoo on their bodies. Yuri and Misha swam to the Stalin monument and then returned. Alina
Zack and Vita swam till the middle and back. Others were enjoying their selves near the beach having a sunbath.
Rita Leonova.
